Fire at Derelict Warehouse in West Lothian Under Investigation

Police are treating a significant fire at a derelict warehouse in West Lothian as wilful as investigations continue.

Emergency services were alerted to the blaze at Deans Industrial Estate in Livingston at approximately 15:20 on Sunday.

Four fire engines and a specialist height crew spent 10 hours working to control the fire, with assistance from Police Scotland.

There were no casualties reported, and Police Scotland confirmed that inquiries remain ongoing.

During the incident, towering flames were visible along with large grey clouds of smoke rising into the sky.

Drivers were advised to avoid the area due to the severity of the fire.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service Response

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed their attendance at the derelict building on Sunday.

"Operations Control mobilised four appliances and a height vehicle to the scene and crews left at 12.48am on Monday, 15 June after working to make the area safe.
There were no reported casualties."
