OnlyFans Model Cleared of Blackmail Charges
A Scottish OnlyFans model, Portia Riddick, 23, has been acquitted after a man accused her of blackmailing him into sending £20,000. The man, whose identity is protected for legal reasons, alleged that Riddick threatened to disclose to his friends that he had purchased explicit images from her.
Riddick, from Possilpark in Glasgow, denied the claims, stating the man willingly sent her money and describing him as a "sugar daddy" who wanted to buy her gifts following their interactions on the adult content platform.
She was cleared by jurors at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
Payments and Relationship Details
The court heard that Riddick, who launched her OnlyFans page at 18, received multiple payments starting from October 2023, totaling £19,963.
During the trial, Ross Jenkins, defending, questioned whether all the money sent was for OnlyFans content.
"At the start it was. He received what he wanted.
I was speaking to him and saying I was planning to go on holiday with my family and he said he would pay for this holiday.
He said he would pay for me to go to Turkey and wanted to buy things for me like clothes, makeup and shoes. This is what the payments were for."
Riddick explained that the man "spoiled" her and compared him to a "pay pig," a term for someone who gains satisfaction from giving money to a dominant person.
Allegations of Threats Denied
The man claimed Riddick threatened to reveal to two of his friends that he had been purchasing content from her unless he sent money. Riddick refuted this, emphasizing confidentiality in such business dealings.
"That is confidential when you start a business like that. It is illegal and I would never do that to anyone."
The man, described as "vulnerable" during the proceedings, also alleged that Riddick told him he would be reimbursed.
Jurors were informed that police visited Riddick's residence in August 2024 after the man reported the incident.
In his testimony, the man admitted to monitoring Riddick's social media stories in May and June 2024 to check if she was mentioning him.
Riddick also testified that the man had sent her a photograph of himself.
Defense and Verdict
When asked by Jenkins whether she exploited the man or threatened him for money, Riddick responded:
"I wasn't threatening anyone and I didn't know he was vulnerable."
Following the evidence presented, Riddick was found not guilty of the blackmail charge.
