Nigel Farage, leader of Reform UK, has faced criticism from political opponents after referring to the people of Wales as "foreign speakers" in a paid video message.
This incident comes seven weeks before the Senedd election, where Reform UK is competing to lead the next Welsh government.
In the video, which was uncovered by newspaper, Mr Farage records a wedding greeting expressing his deep disappointment at being unable to attend the event where "half" of the guests were Welsh.
He then asks,
"Who knows what might have happened with all those foreign speakers there?"
His remarks were condemned by Labour, Plaid Cymru, and the Liberal Democrats.

On X, Plaid Cymru stated that Reform UK is "not fit to be near power in Wales."
Jane Dodds, leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats, described the comments as "shameful" and indicative of "ignorant bigotry."

"Cameo is a brief personal message requested by members of the public and should not be treated as a political statement or campaign activity."
