Murder Investigation Initiated in Londonderry
Authorities have commenced a murder investigation following the death of a woman in Londonderry.
Police responded to a call at a residence in Summer Meadows Mews at approximately 10:20 GMT on Saturday.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a woman injured at the location. She was transported to the hospital but subsequently passed away.
A 30-year-old man has been taken into custody on suspicion of murder.
Community Reaction
SDLP MLA Mark H. Durkan expressed his condolences through a social media post regarding the incident.
"It was heartbreaking and horrific news that a young lady has been murdered in Derry"
He also conveyed his thoughts for those impacted by the event.
"Thinking of everyone affected by this incident. Nobody moreso than the family and friends of that poor girl,"
he added.
