Man Hospitalized After Attempted Murder in Paisley
A 53-year-old man is in serious condition in hospital following an attempted murder in Paisley.
Police Scotland reported that the incident occurred on George Street in the Renfrewshire town at approximately 20:00 on Monday, after a disturbance was reported.
The man's condition has been described as serious but stable.
Several roads remain closed as investigations continue, including George Street at Barr Place, Lady Lane at Argyle Street, and Castle Street at Argyle Street, with local diversions implemented.
Authorities are conducting inquiries to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
"It's vital we trace the person responsible for this violent attack and I'm appealing for information from the public.

Det Sgt Daniel Small also stated that there would be an increased police presence in the area and encouraged anyone with concerns to approach officers.
