Man Hospitalized After Shooting in Coleraine

A man is currently receiving medical treatment in hospital after sustaining hand injuries from a shooting incident in Coleraine, County Londonderry.

According to police reports, the victim was walking home between 01:00 and 01:30 BST on Sunday along Bushmills Road when a man dressed in black with his face covered fired four shots.

One of these shots struck the victim in the hand.

Authorities have closed the Bushmills Road from the junction of Ballycastle Road to the junction of Artillery Road as part of their investigation.

Police have issued an appeal for information and any video footage related to the incident.
