Man Dies After Being Hit by Car in Edinburgh

A 49-year-old man has passed away in hospital three days following an incident where he was struck by a vehicle in Edinburgh.

Police Scotland reported that they responded to Chesser Avenue at approximately 00:20 on Saturday after receiving notifications about a collision involving a blue MG HS.

The man was transported to hospital for treatment, but on Tuesday, authorities confirmed his death. The driver of the MG HS, a 35-year-old woman, was unharmed in the incident.

Sgt Fraser Mitchell said: "Our thoughts are with the man's family at this difficult time and inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash."

Police are appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity at the time to come forward, particularly those who may have dash cam footage that could assist with the investigation.
