Man Charged Following Vehicle Incident in West London

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a vehicle struck pedestrians on a busy road in west London on Saturday.

Timir Ahmed Mohamed, aged 34, faces five counts of attempted murder along with charges of dangerous driving, failing to stop, failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis, and criminal damage, according to the Metropolitan Police.

The Somalia-born individual has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Willesden Magistrates' Court later.

Investigation and Police Response

Initial inquiries were conducted by counter-terrorism police; however, the incident at Ealing Broadway is not being treated as terrorism.

Three individuals were transported to hospital following the event, while two others received treatment at the scene.

According to the Metropolitan Police, none of the injuries sustained were life-threatening or life-changing.
