Man Charged Nearly a Year After Death on Princes Street

A 36-year-old man has been charged nearly a year after a 50-year-old was found dead on Princes Street, Edinburgh. The suspect will appear in court Thursday, with a report to the procurator fiscal pending.

Arrest Made in Connection to Princes Street Death

A 36-year-old man has been charged almost a year after the death of another man in Edinburgh city centre.

Police Scotland reported that they received a call about an unresponsive man on Princes Street on the morning of 25 June last year.

The 50-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities erected a tent around the body, and Princes Street was closed to traffic while officers conducted their investigation.

The 36-year-old suspect is expected to appear before Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday in relation to the death.

A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
