Incident on A478 in Pentregalar Last July
A 57-year-old man has appeared in court charged with causing death by dangerous driving in north Pembrokeshire last year.
Timothy Minett, aged 78, was volunteering for the charity Blood Bikes Wales when his motorcycle collided with a white Volkswagen Crafter van on the A478 in Pentregalar on 2 July 2025.
Mr Minett died at the scene inside the van.
Roger King from Hermon was arrested in connection with the incident and has now been charged.
He was released on unconditional bail and is due to appear at Swansea Crown Court on 29 May.
Driver Arrested Following Death of Blood Bikes Volunteer
Tributes have been paid to the 78-year-old man who died while transporting blood on behalf of the charity.
During his appearance at Haverfordwest Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, Mr King confirmed his name, date of birth, and address, and was not asked to enter a plea.
Members of Mr Minett's family were present in court.
Following the collision, Mr Minett was described in a tribute by his family as a
"husband, grandfather, brother, uncle and devoted friend."
At the time of the crash, Timothy Minett was volunteering with the charity Blood Bikes Wales.
The charity provides a free transportation service to the health service, carrying items such as blood and plasma across the country.
