Man Arrested for 2017 Incident of Pushing Woman in Front of Bus in London

A 44-year-old man was arrested for allegedly pushing a woman into the path of a bus in south-west London in 2017. The woman escaped serious injury, and the investigation was previously closed in 2018 after other arrests.

Arrest Made in 2017 London Bus Incident

A man has been arrested in connection with an incident in May 2017, when a woman was allegedly pushed into the path of a bus in south-west London.

CCTV footage from the time captures a jogger running along Putney Bridge and seemingly shoving the then 33-year-old woman into the road. Fortunately, she avoided serious injury.

On Monday, the Metropolitan Police announced that officers had arrested a 44-year-old man on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm. The individual remains in police custody.

The police had previously closed their investigation into the case in 2018 after three men were arrested and subsequently released without charge.
