Firefighters Battle Blaze in Omagh Industrial Estate

Authorities are urging people to avoid the area in Omagh, County Tyrone, as firefighters work to control a fire in an industrial estate.

The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) was alerted to the fire at 07:19 BST, with the incident occurring at the Doogary Industrial Estate located on Bankmore Road.

Currently, 10 fire appliances are on the scene, supported by an aerial appliance, two water tankers, and a command support unit.

Access to Bankmore Road has been restricted, with closures at both the A5 and Crevenagh Road junctions. Motorists are advised to find alternative routes.

The NIFRS has issued a request for local residents to keep their windows and doors closed during the operation.

Members of the public are also asked to avoid the vicinity to facilitate the ongoing firefighting efforts.
