Firefighters Respond to Car Showroom Fire Near Garvagh

Firefighters are currently attending to a fire incident at a car showroom located near Garvagh, County Londonderry.

According to police reports, the fire occurred on Carhill Road.

The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) was alerted to the fire at approximately 04:30 BST on Wednesday morning.

David Doherty, the NIFRS western area commander, confirmed that the fire has been extinguished, although crews remain on site managing residual hotspots.

"The next part of our operation is to move on to the fire investigation to determine the cause of the fire," he told BBC Radio Foyle's North West Today programme.
