E-scooter Rider Seriously Injured in Kirkcaldy Crash with Car

A 49-year-old man was seriously injured in a collision between an e-scooter and a black Vauxhall Corsa at a Kirkcaldy crossroads, with police seeking dashcam footage as inquiries continue.

Serious Injury in Kirkcaldy E-scooter and Car Collision

A 49-year-old man sustained serious injuries following a collision between an e-scooter and a car in Kirkcaldy.

The incident occurred at approximately 13:30 on Tuesday at the crossroads of Dunniker Road, Lauder Road, and Wilson Avenue. The collision involved a black Vauxhall Corsa and the e-scooter.

Emergency services transported the injured man to hospital for treatment. Due to the crash, police closed the road for around three hours, reopening it at about 16:40.

Sgt Lee Walkingshaw commented on the ongoing investigation into the crash and requested assistance from the public.

"Inquiries into the crash are ongoing and we appeal for anyone with dashcam footage to come forward and share it with officers."
