Investigation into Hendon Arson Attack

Counter-terrorism police are leading an investigation into an arson attack targeting a business in Hendon, north-west London.

The Metropolitan Police reported that a man was observed approaching a row of shops carrying a plastic bag containing three bottles filled with fluid.

He placed the bag beside the building and ignited the contents. However, the bottles did not fully catch fire, and the individual fled the scene. The incident caused minor damage to the shopfront, and no injuries were reported.

Authorities have stated that the event is not being treated as a terrorist incident and is not currently linked to other incidents in the vicinity.

Related Arson Attempts Under Investigation

Counter-terrorism units are also investigating attempted arson attacks on a Persian language media organisation and a synagogue located in Finchley. Additionally, ambulances belonging to a Jewish charity were set alight in Golders Green.
