Fatal Two-Car Collision in Fife

An 87-year-old man has died following a two-car collision on a country road in Fife.

The man was driving a red Dacia Sandero when it collided with a blue Vauxhall Astra at approximately 10:40 on Saturday on the A92 north of Rathillet.

Emergency Response and Hospitalization

Emergency services responded to the incident, and the man was transported to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, where he later passed away.

His passenger, an 88-year-old woman, along with the occupants of the Astra—a 32-year-old man and two children aged seven and 13—were also taken to hospital for treatment.

Road Closure and Police Investigation

The road was closed to facilitate investigations but reopened around 15:00.

Police inquiries are ongoing, and the force has appealed for witnesses or drivers with dashcam footage from the area to come forward.
