Incident at Edinburgh's Banana Flats

Police responded to a disturbance outside the flats in Leith, Edinburgh, resulting in the arrest of a 33-year-old man in connection with the death of another individual.

Armed officers were dispatched to the scene near the Banana flats, officially known as Cables Wynd House, at approximately 21:40 on Sunday evening.

Video footage captured at the location showed the presence of an ambulance alongside numerous police vehicles. Authorities reported that a man was discovered with serious injuries.

The injured man was transported to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, where he subsequently passed away. Police Scotland confirmed that an arrest had been made and stated that

"inquiries are ongoing"

As of Monday morning, a police cordon remained in place outside the flats.
