Murder Investigation Underway After Fatal Brixton Shooting

A murder investigation has been initiated following the death of a man after a drive-by shooting in south London.

Police responded to reports of multiple gunshots at Coldharbour Lane, Brixton, at 01:14 BST on Saturday.

Keanu Taylor, aged 25, was transported to hospital where he later died, according to the Metropolitan Police.

Three additional individuals, aged 21, 47, and 70, were also taken to hospital. Their injuries were assessed as neither life-threatening nor life-changing. No arrests have been made at this time.

Scene and Eyewitness Accounts

On Saturday evening, several police officers were observed searching a grassy area outside the Southwyck House estate on Coldharbour Lane.

An estate resident suggested the incident occurred during a barbecue party held on the green space.

Moh John, a shop worker at the Payless Food & Wine supermarket located outside the Southwyck House estate, reported providing shelter to individuals following the gunshots.

The 45-year-old said he heard noises and saw people fleeing from the party. He described the individuals who entered the supermarket as "scared" and noted that he kept the front door locked for some time before reopening it.

Authorities urge anyone with information or footage related to the incident to contact the Metropolitan Police or Crimestoppers.
