British forces stationed in Iraq successfully shot down two Iranian drones overnight, Defence Secretary John Healey confirmed.

Despite the interceptions, some drones struck the coalition base located in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan region in Iraq, resulting in injuries to several US troops.

Details of the Attacks

Brigadier Guy Foden reported that the base in Erbil, as well as another in Baghdad, the Iraqi capital, were targeted multiple times on Wednesday night. British personnel are currently present in Erbil to assist in defending the base.
