Man Pleads Guilty Over Migrant Deaths
A man has pleaded guilty following the drowning of four migrants attempting to cross the English Channel.
Alnour Mohamed Ali, a Sudanese national, faced charges of endangering life after two men and two women died while trying to board a small boat in France on 9 April.
The 27-year-old, who admitted to piloting the vessel, appeared at Canterbury Crown Court on Tuesday.
The identities of those who died have not been disclosed.
The victims drowned after being swept away by strong currents while attempting to climb onto a dinghy at Equihen-Plage, near Boulogne-sur-Mer.
