Incident Details
A man in his 40s is currently in critical condition following a collision with a car in County Louth.
The incident took place shortly after 03:00 local time on the N2 near Funshog, Collon on Saturday. Gardaí (Irish police) and emergency services promptly responded to the scene.
Medical Response
The pedestrian received treatment at the scene before being transported to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda for serious injuries. He was later transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin for further care.
Driver Information
The driver involved in the collision, a woman in her 20s, was not injured.
Gardaí Appeal
Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or was in the vicinity at the time to come forward and contact them.
