The Duke and Duchess of Sussex engaged with survivors and emergency responders of the Bondi Beach shooting on the fourth day of their visit to Australia.

Public Reception and Invictus Australia Event

Following their meeting at Bondi, the couple was greeted by hundreds of fans gathered on the steps of the Sydney Opera House. There, they boarded a boat to participate in a sailing event hosted by Invictus Australia.

Prince Harry originally announced in 2018 that Australia would host the Invictus Games, a competition he founded in 2014 for wounded military veterans, during his royal tour.

This visit marks the couple's first trip to Australia since the 2018 tour. Now no longer working members of the royal family, Prince Harry and Meghan are visiting the country in a private capacity.
