Declan stated that his father is "doing OK" and emphasized that the family is "taking it one step at a time," focusing on "keeping things steady around" the 66-year-old GB News presenter.
GB News issued a statement on Saturday confirming that Holmes was hospitalized after experiencing a stroke, which occurred last week. The statement noted that he was "responding well to treatment."

Holmes, a seasoned broadcaster, joined GB News in 2022 to host its breakfast programme. Prior to this, he had presented shows on and ITV.

In a statement shared on Instagram, Declan described the stroke as "a real shock" and expressed gratitude to those who have sent messages of support.
"We'd really value a bit of privacy as we navigate it [sic], and what lies ahead, but thank you again for the support as it means so much to dad and the rest of the family,"
The post included a photograph of Declan with his arm around his father's shoulder.
