Stylist's Unexpected Call for Venezuela Fury's Wedding
A hairdresser from north Wales, Lynsey Austin, has shared her excitement after being unexpectedly chosen to style the hair of Venezuela Fury, daughter of renowned boxer Tyson Fury, for her wedding.
Austin, who usually caters to clients in her hometown of Wrexham, expressed surprise upon receiving a call from the Fury family just two weeks before the wedding day.
Venezuela married Noah Price in a ceremony held on the Isle of Man, where she wore an elaborate 40ft (12m) wedding train described as "too big" for a workshop setting.
Austin described the Fury family as "down to earth" and noted the significant positive effect the event had on her business, with a surge in bookings following the widely publicized wedding.

Professional Experience and Booking Details
With 19 years of experience as the owner of LA Salon, Austin mentioned she had handled "one or two" celebrity bookings before, but this was the most prominent client she had styled to date.
She recounted receiving a call from Doll Beauty HQ, a salon in Chester, two weeks prior to the wedding, inquiring if she could create the finger wave hairstyle Venezuela desired.
Shortly thereafter, Austin was invited to demonstrate her finger waving skills and then taken to the Fury residence to ensure Venezuela was satisfied with her work.
Wedding Ceremony and Legal Context
The wedding ceremony took place at the Victorian Royal Chapel of St John's on the Isle of Man.
It is notable that while the minimum marriage age in England and Wales increased to 18 in 2023, the Isle of Man still permits marriage at 16 with parental consent.
Venezuela was 16 at the time of the wedding.
Family Impressions and Stylist's Experience
Austin praised the Fury family, describing them as "absolutely lovely" and "down to earth."
"It was just like going to meet a friend. They were brilliant,"
She detailed the demanding schedule on the wedding day, working overnight until just after 01:00 BST at the Fury home to prepare Venezuela's hair, then returning a few hours later at sunrise to complete the styling.
"I was literally running on an hour and a half of sleep, but the adrenaline of the day keeps you going,"
Although Austin did not attend the ceremony itself, she viewed videos online and commented on Venezuela's appearance.
"I felt like I was going to cry, because she just looked too stunning."

Social Media Impact
Following the wedding, Austin shared content from the event on her social media platforms, which experienced significant growth.
One of her videos amassed nearly six million views.
"It's absolutely crazy,"
Austin added, reflecting on the overwhelming response.
