New Action Thriller TV Series Filmed Across Wales
Towns and cities throughout Wales have served as filming locations for a new action thriller television series.
"Prisoner," starring Izuka Hoyle and Tahar Rahim, follows the story of a former hitman who leaves his safe house in St Davids, Pembrokeshire, before his convoy is attacked by a drone and gunmen.
It is the second Sky Original drama to be filmed in Wales this year, following the crime series "Under Salt Marsh," which was primarily shot across north-west Wales.
Welsh Secretary Jo Stevens said the new show was a "great example of the wealth of talent and fantastic locations on offer" in Wales.
Plot and Characters
Rahim plays Tibor Stone, a former hitman who agrees to travel from his safe house to London to testify in the trial of the leader of an organised crime group.
He is escorted by prison transport officer Amber Todd, portrayed by Hoyle, but events begin to spiral out of control when the convoy is ambushed.
Filming Locations
The series was filmed in various locations including Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, Port Talbot, and Powys.
In one scene, Stone is transported across the Prince of Wales Bridge, while another was filmed in the Butetown Tunnel in Cardiff.
Countryside near Builth Wells, Powys, also features prominently throughout the series.

Production Details
BBC Roath Lock Studios in Cardiff served as the production base during the 17-week shoot.
More than 120 local crew members were employed on the production.
Context Within Welsh Film Industry
This series is the latest to be filmed in Wales, following other productions such as the ITV drama "Believe Me," Netflix's "Havoc" starring Tom Hardy, and "House of Guinness," where north Wales doubled as Ireland for some scenes.
"I'm proud of our booming creative industries here in Wales," said Stevens.
"Sky's new thriller is another great example of the wealth of talent and fantastic locations on offer to production companies from across the world."
