Zendaya Addresses Viral AI Wedding Photos

US actress Zendaya has expressed both amusement and bemusement regarding the widely circulated photos that appear to depict her wedding to fellow actor Tom Holland.

Numerous AI-generated images have been shared online, and "many people have been fooled by them," Zendaya told American chat show host Jimmy Kimmel on Monday night.

"While I was just out and about in real life, people were like, 'Oh my God, your wedding photos are gorgeous'. And I was like, 'Babe, they're AI. They're not real'."

Speculation on Marriage Status

The actress avoided directly answering whether she is actually married to her Spider-Man co-star.

When asked about rumours suggesting they had tied the knot, she joked,

"Really? I haven't seen any of them".

Reactions from Fans and Personal Circles

Zendaya noted that it was not only fans who were deceived by the fabricated wedding photos.

The actress stated that "many people" in her personal life believed the images were genuine, with some expressing anger over not receiving an invitation.

Details of the AI-Generated Images

At first glance, the photos appear quite realistic, showing a smiling Zendaya and Holland dressed in wedding attire exchanging vows against a backdrop resembling Lake Como, Italy.

Images shared earlier in the month by a creator named AK on the social media platform X also seemed to include notable attendees such as Robert Downey Jr, Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Jake Gyllenhaal at the ceremony.

Another user, Juan Regueira Rodriguez, posted a collection of supposed wedding pictures on Instagram, with one image—liked by millions—depicting Holland holding a Spider-Man mask.

A caption clarified that the images were created with AI as an "artistic recreation," but many fans overlooked this disclaimer.

Origins of the Marriage Rumours

Speculation about the couple's marriage was initially fueled by Zendaya's stylist, Law Roach, who told Access Hollywood that the nuptials had "already happened" and the press had "missed it."

The rumours intensified when Zendaya appeared to be wearing a gold band on her left hand while arriving at the recent Louis Vuitton show during Paris Fashion Week.

Background and Upcoming Projects

The couple met in 2017 during the filming of Spider-Man: Homecoming and are set to reunite on screen in their fourth superhero film, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, scheduled for release this summer.

Holland teased a special trailer launch for the new movie on Wednesday via Instagram.

The trailer for Dune 3, starring Zendaya alongside Timothée Chalamet, is also expected to be released this week.

Additionally, the couple will appear together again this year as co-stars in Christopher Nolan's epic retelling of Homer's The Odyssey.
