Six Companies Linked to Sarah Ferguson Facing Closure
Documents filed with Companies House reveal that six companies associated with Sarah Ferguson, the former Duchess of York, are in the process of being wound down.
Ferguson serves as the director for all six businesses, which are scheduled to be struck off the register within ten days unless a legal reason is presented to prevent this action.
The specific activities of these companies remain unclear; however, one is connected to public relations and another to retail. None of the firms appear to have significant commercial activity.
Context of Closure Amid Epstein File Revelations
The decision to close these companies follows further disclosures from the Epstein files. These documents suggest that Ferguson communicated with Jeffrey Epstein, the wealthy convicted sex offender, expressing desperation over her financial difficulties.
Email exchanges between Ferguson and Epstein indicate that she sought his financial advice regarding her £6 million debt while Epstein was incarcerated for soliciting prostitution from a minor.
It is important to note that being named in the Epstein files does not imply any wrongdoing on Ferguson's part.
A spokesperson for the former Duchess of York has been contacted for comment but has not provided a statement at this time.
Details of the Companies Scheduled for Closure
The companies set to be closed are S Phoenix Events, Fergie's Farm, La Luna Investments, Solamoon Ltd, Philanthrapreneur Ltd, and Planet Partners Productions Ltd. None of these entities have a notable public profile.
Records for five of these six companies indicate there is an "application to strike the company off the register," which means they will cease trading and will be removed from the official register.
The sixth company, S Phoenix Events, also notes receipt of an application to strike off, with Sarah Ferguson listed as the individual authenticating the application on behalf of the company.
Other Business Interests of Sarah Ferguson
Ferguson remains an active director for three other companies registered with Companies House: Ginger and Moss, a lifestyle brand offering tea, jewellery, and housewares; Coat, a business engaged in "motion picture production activities"; and Librasol, classified under "artistic creation" in the official register for private companies.
All companies being dissolved were established over ten years ago. Most are categorized as "dormant companies," reporting minimal or no recent commercial activity.
Ferguson is the sole remaining director for all the companies scheduled for closure.
Recent Changes and Financial Background
Late last year, Ferguson submitted official changes to her details for all these firms, updating her name from Sarah Duchess of York to Sarah Margaret Ferguson.
Reports of Ferguson's financial difficulties have circulated for many years. However, the publication of Jeffrey Epstein's correspondence files has revealed the extent of the pressure she faced.
One file suggests that Ferguson told Epstein she was about to "freak with exhaustion" while he was still in custody in Florida and that she also relied on him for emotional support.
"She was about to 'freak with exhaustion' and leaned on Epstein for emotional support while he was in custody."
