Mark Fortune has maintained significant property interests throughout the city for several decades.

The properties were seized from Mr. Fortune as part of a sequestration process, a term in Scottish law referring to bankruptcy proceedings, initiated by the City of Edinburgh Council to recover outstanding debts owed by the businessman.

Last year, several other properties owned by Mr. Fortune were also sold at auction under the same sequestration process.
